Cracovia Danza Ballet will take part in the International Conference Early Music Days, which will take place at the Music University in Nuremberg. There will be some strong Polish accents during this event. Dr hab. Szymon Paczkowski will give a lecture about the influence of polish dances for European culture, e.g. for the music of Johann Sebastian Bach or Georg Philipp Telemann, who composed some significant polonaises. Romana Agnel will lead dance workshops for musicians. The will acknowledge not only basic steps and techniques of the baroque court dance, but they will also learn Old-Polish polonaise, which will be presented by workshop participants together with Cracovia Danza dancers at the closing concert.
Music of Georg Philipp Telemann depicts not only Polish culture, but also this of other nations. Many of his works are used in Cracovia Danza Ballet performance Ballet de Nations, that shows 18th Century Europe in the kaleidoscope of dance and music. This performance will be presented 3 times in Nuremberg. At the closing ceremony of the conference, on January 28th and twice on January 29th for townspeople.
