WAYS TO FREEDOM

Just like in a Polonaise parade, the artists lead the viewers across the ages and the events that marked their place in history and in customs. Appearing onstage are real and literary characters, artists and ordinary people. Through the successive vignettes from the 18th century to modern times, new aspects and elements which make up Polish identity, rich stories, varied experiences, emotions, events and symbols are revealed. Ways to Freedom – the History of Poland in Vignettes is a dance spectacle wherein the singular and inimitable forms of Polish dances (noble, salon and folk ones) are presented, carrying the essence of Polishness across the ages – pride, dignity, and melancholy, as well as fantasy, creativity and spontaneity.
