CRACOVIA DANZA COURT DANCE FESTIVAL

Festival of Court Dance Cracovia Danza is the only event of that kind in Poland. Taking place during the summer, it is unique in the world, since it gather masters of court dances and various dancing groups from all over the world specializing in historical dances. During the week-long Festival, the renaissance Decjusz’s Villa is a center of historical dances, providing workshops with exceptional specialists. Since few years participants can attend acting and music classes. Dancing groups taking part in the Festival have an outstanding opportunity to present themselves to Cracow’s auditory during outdoor shows in historical places of the city. The Festival is to begin and end with amusing outdoor performances presented by Court Ballet Cracovia Danza in collaboration with invited guests. Since 2000 those events attract hundreds of court dance and culture lovers to the Royal Castle’s courtyard, as well as to the Main Square. One can experience other accompanying events, such as exhibitions, lectures, concerts, which are connected to the main theme of each edition.The author and Artistic Director of the Court Dance Festival is Romana Agnel.
