THE 20S AND 30S PROGRAMME

The 20s and the 30s correspond to the craziest period in the history of European social dance. The dancefloors of European ballrooms sprang to life with the mad and funny Charleston, the red-hot Rumba and Cha-Cha co-existing with the elegant Waltzes and the gliding Foxtrots. However, all around, it is the magical rhythms of the Tango which truly reign. With The 20s and 30s programme dancers take the viewers on a journey of the salons of interwar Poland and Europe. Through the artistic presentation of the most typical forms of salon dance, the dancers revive the atmosphere and charm of the madcap balls and receptions of the times.
