FROM POLONAISE TO MAZUR
The performance From polonaise to mazur, is a colorful painting presenting the beauty of polish national dances in various forms, epochs and contexts. The show is all about dance and festivities in the 19th century Poland. The audience can not only see titular polonaisies and mazurs, but also fashionable then kazachocks and cracoviennes. A special part of the performance are recreated pieces of Hłasko – a polish dance master in Vienna (choreography by Leszek Rembowski) and also pieces of Józef Stefani (choreography by Romana Agnel). Live music performed by The Violin Consort brings the polish salon as it was in 19th century. Music is edited by Maciej Prochaska – a musicologist nominated in 2019 for the award Koryfeusz Muzyki Polskiej.
