Krzysztof Antkowiak

He began his career in late 1980s in Miejski Ośrodek Kultury in Gniezno as a break-dancer. From 1993 to 1999 he acted as a mime in Wrocławski Teatr Pantomimy im. Henryka Tomaszewskiego. He collaborated  with Teatr im. A.Fredry in Gniezno, Teatr K-2 and Teatr Współczesny in Wrocław, Silesian Opera, Warszawska Opera Kameralna, National Opera in Warsaw and in Krakow's Teatr Stu, Teatr Groteska and Krakow Opera. He worked with Henryk Tomaszewski, Jerzy Bielunas, Romana Agnel, Roberto Skolmowski, Włodzimierz Nurkowski, Jarosław Staniek, Henryk Konwiński, Beata Redo-Dobber.

Since 1999 he is a part of Ardente Sole Foundation and since 2006 he dances as a part of Cracovia Danza Ballet. He worked under the tutelage of Romana Agnel, Marie-Claire Bär Le Corre, Françoise Deniau, Marie Genevieve Masse, Irene Ginger, Barbara Sparti and Leszek Rembowski. His roles are always easily recognizable, characteristic and based on introducing pantomime into the dance. He portrayed the likes of Stańczyk, Władysław Jagiełło, Lodovico Sforza or Don Quixote.

He regularly conducts pantomime classes in Drama Studio and beyond. He is an important part of Cracovia Danza Court Dance Festival, during which he shares his pantomime skills with attendants.

In 2016 he received the Honoris Gratia from Krakow's President, Jacek Majchrowski. In 2019 he was awarded a Cross of Merit by Andrzej Duda, The President of Poland.
