ANTHEM FOR APOLLO

Anthem for Apollo is a colourful mosaic of styles and epochs, from Old Greek dances, through original baroque choreographies, portraying antique gods, finally to modern interpretation of King Midas story. In this diversity there is also unity brought by the theme – antique imaginations, manifested in myths. The performance is directly inspired by Janina’s Strzembosz fascination by the ancient Greek culture. Premiere of the show was during the event Janina Strzembosz meetings „Life for dance”, which theme was the legacy of Professor in the context of Isadora Duncan. As a special guest, Swedish dancer Lilly Zetterberg performed original choreographies of Isadora.
